Joe Budden Arrested in New York Before Slaughterhouse Show

An outstanding warrant for a 2007 traffic violation lands the rapper in jail.

Hip hop supergroup Slaughterhouse was in NYC to rock the stage last night, but one member of the band found himself in the slammer instead. Joe Budden was conspicuously absent from the concert, having been apprehended by police on a warrant for a 2007 traffic violation.
The other three members of the Shady 2.0 collective, Royce Da 5'9", Joel Ortiz, Crooked I, broke the news to the audience midway through a set at the packed Best Buy Theater in Midtown, MTV news reports.

After the crowd learned of Joe Budden's arrest, they spontaneously erupted in a show of support, chanting "Joey, Joey, Joey." After the chants resumed whenever the group performed a song with a missing Budden verse, Royce Da 5'9" had to interject.

"We love Joey too, chanting for him ain't gonna get him outta jail," he quipped.

Budden's might have actually brought this attention on to himself. In a recent interview with Power 105's Breakfast Club radio personalities Charlemangne, DJ Envy, and Angela Yee, the New Jersey rapper talked very candidly about his troubles with law. He even mentioned leaving the scene of an accident in the past.
