Kendrick Lamar Surprised Lady Gaga Leaked Their Track

However, the rapper is happy the pop star let fans hear the much-talked about song.

Last month many fans were surprised that the highly-anticipated collaboration between Kendrick Lamar and Lady Gaga didn't make good kid, m.A.A.d city. The two artists worked together on the original version of Kendrick's "B---h Don't Kill My Vibe," with Gaga delivering a special hook. While the song isn't listed on the final tracklist, the Monster star decided to share it with fans anyway, catching the rapper by surprise.

"I didn't even know she was gonna put that out," he told XXL.com. "That was a surprise. I thought she was gonna hold that in the can. I was cool with it. It showed people we wasn't playin' with it; we was actually in the studio vibing out when we recorded. For her to put it out even undone, that says a lot. That says she's confident not only about her work, but my work."

The Compton hip hop star continues to promote his album, which debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard charts with 241,000 copies sold its first week. The critically-acclaimed project produced the highest first week sales of any hip hop album this year.
